The game is a ton of fun but it's no ETF

I love the cartoon throwback theme they went with.

lol, man had an awesome TF2 run tonight.

Got in a match with some guys from 1up.com, they got our entire team (cept 1 engy to hook us up with a dispenser) to be big fat heavys, and camp the flag room. We just mowed down anyone that came in,lol (A small room filled with ~10fattys is fun times.)

What would be even more awesome is if someone could coordinate the other team to go all spies, cloak into the room behind you, and backstab you all at the same time.

We kept spraying both entrances into the room with fire, no way a spy could get in. But they eventually did kill us with an uber, never capped the flag tho

Crap now i need to try and return my wireless 360 mic that i paid 64 bucks for so i can get the Orange Box. They really need to sell TF2 as a stand alone though.

Yeah, you better get it for the PC though. TF2 on the 360 can't play with people that have it on the PC

I honestly wouldn't want to play a game like TF2 on a console anyway...the action is moving much too fast for the control scheme to keep up with...

As Dr. L said you will be able to get it separately when the game is actually released. However, right now you can only play the beta if you get the Orange Box.

I like that it is part of the package since it'll mean more people will be exposed to the game and therefore a large community will develop for it. This is also part of the reason why TFC became as popular as it did, since it was distributed in a patch for HL at first. People who had never heard of TF or TFC before ended up trying it and liking it.
