Looks gay, however, I bet St. and Spot will still play this.

I am pretty sure I applied to beta test the ps3 version, but haven't heard anything yet.

Final Fantasy 14
StarCraft 2
Aion
lolLegos
APB
Star Trek Online
----------------------
Fail and this is not just personal opinion. No one plays these in X, or at least not in a meaningful way (winning).

Not going to buy stock into this one, which looks like CoH with a DC logo.

There's only 2 choices. Go the St. route and play WoW or go the Spot route and buy 5 console games every paycheck.

Actually there's the Gwyn/Kwan route and quit video games altogether.

Yeah it's a lot like CoH/CoV - can't remember if it had weapons though.
I don't plan on paying for the game myself or playing past beta.

I think everyone is just getting too old & married & whatnot. Not enough time for games.

I'm still waiting on this stupid baseball MMO (www.playbigleague.com) to make it out of beta.. will probably play that for awhile.

I'm not married...so that probably means I'm extra old.

I received my beta key last week, so i just wanted to give my two bits. I had to get past what feels like a poorly designed default keys for keyboard and mouse, but other wise im having a lot of fun with this game so far. The costume creator has some good featurse to it, some things CoX couldn't do, but short of total customization, also the gear boosters you pick up give you an option of changing the costume pieces you wear or not, ill try to take some pictures another time to share

And I might add, i am also married with a baby, its all about making time for the hobbies you want.

This game has to be better on PC, it is barely playable on PS3, hard to read anything that is happening either and my tv isn't that bad.

It's been a month since joining this beta. I stopped playing it because I would have been too burned out to look at it after launch if I continued. I worry about the lifespan of the game unless the devs do something drastic to the level cap at 30.

First character became bugged at 13 so started another and was nearing cap in only a couple of weeks. A person like Scooby would be capped in 2 days.

Pfft. 40 hours. Tops.

But I'm doing everything I can to not pick up DC at all- not looking for anything new right now.

They are offering free play until 7/2 because of the Sony issues. But you have to have had an "active account". So far on another forum, it's been reported that people who had expired subs are included and last night someone chimed in saying he just played the beta and noticed he can now play until 7/2.

If you need to grab the installer, go to http://www.dcuniverseonline.com/installer

DCUO is another game going free to play. It's not surprising since the big two other superhero MMOs are. But 7 months after launch beats the record of launch to announcement previously held by CO in the superhero MMO. Plus 7 months minus the downtime because of the hack. (I know someone here was involved in the hack but won't say publicly)

And I don't see DC subs getting stipends like the others will.
