How hot does your gpu get?

Post by Boom »

I have a XFX GTX 260.
Games been kinda slow loading & glitchy at times.
I downloaded MSI Afterburner to monitor/adjust. My temp got up to 84º or so at 40% speed. (side case panel is off with AC vent next to it lol)

With the fan at 80%, it stays around 71º while in-game. Seems to idle at around 50º. It's a little louder than I want though :P

If you're talking Celsius, which I think you are, I remember it being a good idea to keep it under 75C with 80C being pretty concerning (bad).

I would shoot for 65-70 personally.

yeah, I just changed a setting in that program so it will auto adjust. Before this, it would just stay at 40% regardless of temp.. lol

I'm gonna ignore your question and say your games are glitchy cause your Video card is older now. I have a 570 and while I can still max out my graphics it is starting to hurt even my fps.
