IE9 messed up my mouse!?

So I decided to update to IE9 (even though I rarely use it).
Now, my mouse cursor moves like 1px for every 1/4 inch I move the mouse. If I move the mouse fast, it responds ok. (haven't even launched IE after upgrading it btw)

It's an Intellimouse Optical USB (5btn) from back in the day, aka WX mouse
I have a PS/2 adapter that I've been using since.

I couldn't find anything helpful on the ole googs!

Also, the mouse wheel doesn't work now. Way to go Microsoft!

I tried updating the drivers, but no go. Will try removing the adapter & see what happens....

Decided to just uninstall the mouse. That seemed to work. Then I installed Intellipoint software. So far, so good.
For some reason it was listed as an Alps Pointing Device before... which I recall it being labeled after installing Windows 7.

Anyway, maybe this will help someone else

wX mouse FTW! lol... still use that same mouse and I have a black and a white version. That's what you get for updating Internet Explorer!

I'm in the process of building a new computer. It's been so strange being without a computer for 2 months. I really want to game so bad. Boom, you need to play Knights of the old republic with us for one reason - we might be able to buy houses! I want to sit in your house again and listen to you play music LOL.

I need to upload all of my game pictures. I have some hilarious ones from back then.
